I stayed at Scandic Karlskrona in July 2013 for two nights in a standard room. The rooms have individual modern air conditioning but no mini-bar, which is a shame. They are in modern Scandinavian design with big panorama windows offering a fantastic view onto the fisketorget and the marina. The hotel is quite modern, in an attractive setting right on the fjord and very close to the city center, providing options for lunch and dinner. Dining probably would have been more enjoyable for me. Service had some difficulties taking away dishes from tables at breakfast, causing a shortage of tables, but I was kindly provided with a free cup of milk on request by a young, friendly, and professional receptionist. The location is fantastic, just by the sea but also close to the center of town, offering a different experience compared to other bars around. The hotel has table football available.
